本书以党的十八大提出的“社会主义核心价值观”为主旨,运用哲学、社会学、教育学等理论和方法,从“纵(空间)横(时间)中外”四维角度对休闲与生活教育问题进行考察与研究,构建了国民休闲与生活教育的理论与实践体系,包括思想价值体系、内容体系、组织体系、政策体系、保障体系,并以经济发达的广东省为例,考察了其国民休闲与生活教育的实践经验。研究发现,由于休闲与生活教育的滞后,我国社会生活中存在不同程度的乱象,主要表现在休闲与生活方式的异化、俗化、西化和腐化。本书建议国家重视国民休闲与生活教育,可将其上升为国家战略,以遏制社会生活异化、俗化、西化和腐化进一步加深。国家教育改革发展中要有“国民休闲与生活教育体系”的内容。本书是首部研究休闲与生活教育的专著,可供政府部门、学术界、教育界及广大关心国民生活与教育的各界人士阅读,书中观点盼望引起争鸣、探讨,以便抛砖引玉,促进我国学术繁荣和社会生活健康发展,早日实现“中国梦”。
