本书由天印外语教育工作室组织编写，是教育部重点课题“卓越计划视野下的大学英语教学改革”（GPA11051）阶段性成果。本书编写任务如下：曹磊编写每个单元的 Part Ⅲ，杨欣编写第二单元、第四单元，崔雁编写diyi单元、第三单元；蒋莉编写第五单元、第六单元；王琳编写第七单元、第八单元；曹磊、杨欣负责全书的统编定稿。本书由北京科技大学徐莉芳担任主审。
