《当代商务英语综合教程》教材初版针对新形势对技能型人才的需要，及高职高专商务英语学生大量增加而配套合适教材匮乏，专门编写。教材吸取任务型教学理念，语言与商务并重，重在培养学生职业能力。 
修订版教材替换了近一半的选材，保证教材的时代感和典型性并重；根据初版教材使用情况精简内容，更符合教学实际。

吕乐，女， 教授，硕士。现任上海理工大学外语学院院长、上海 - 纽约国际联合语言学院院长、硕士生导师。本科教学主要讲授课程包括：英语词汇学、跨文化交际学；研究生教学主要教授课程包括：词汇语义学、跨文化交际学。主要研究领域有：词汇语义学、跨文化交际学、语言教学。近年来在刊物（《外国语》，《外语界》）、核心刊物（《外语与外语教学》，《辞书研究》）、国内外有关杂志和国际会议论文集中发表论文 30余篇。
